Benahavís
A separate municipality inland of Marbella, home to many of the coast’s gated villa estates.
Benahavís is an independent municipality in the hills behind Marbella and Estepona. Alongside its whitewashed village, it includes several of the area’s most private gated estates and golf communities.
Character
Greener, quieter and more elevated than the coast, with mountain and sea views. Life is car-based; the coast is typically 10–20 minutes away.

Villas on larger plots, golf properties, apartments and penthouses in gated complexes, and the ultra-prime estates of La Zagaleta and El Madroñal.
